The ruby is such a rich, deep red and at 8.8mm it’s noticeable without being bulky on my neck. I’ve worn it daily for two weeks and the 14ct gold hasn’t tarnished or irritated my skin at all, which is more than I can say for my old costume jewelry.

The adjuster on the chain is perfect for me since I like my necklaces a bit shorter than 45cm. The ruby itself feels substantial for such a delicate piece, and the gold has a lovely warm tone that catches the light nicely.
